Meet The Guys

Jeff photo

Jeff Paul - Tenor: Our tenor Jeff has been singing barbershop since 2001.  His vocal background includes singing with various men's, mixed groups/chorus and bands.  Jeff is able to sing all 4 parts (not all at the same time!), as do the other members of our quartet.  Jeff is also able to play multiple instruments including the trumpet, drums and guitar.  He is a physical therapist by day, enthusiastic barbershop singer at night!

Tom Roan - Lead: As a life long musician, Tom plays several instruments, including saxophone, bass, keyboards, and guitar. Tom was a rocker in an originals rock band for over 10 years, performing mostly in the Northeast. Tom can sing all 4 barbershop parts, which shows what formal vocal training can do for you. As the director of the Florida Suncoast Chorus, Tom has honed his director skills, while attending Barbershop University, a college level institute, which advances all aspects of barbershop craft.

Larry

Larry Gintert - Baritone: Larry has enjoyed singing for audiences for more than 40 years.  His Mom got him involved in church singing at the age of 8.  Though he was involved with barbershop over 30 years ago, he had drifted away from it until a chance meeting with our tenor, Jeff.  While treating Larry, in his physical therapy work, Jeff talked about barbershop singing and got Larry interested enough to get involved with the G Men.  Larry has performed as a solo musical entertainer playing unplugged-style rock and folk music (guitar and vocal), and is an engineering manager for a technical services firm.  He has 29 years of experience as an engineer with a background in structures, materials and corrosion management.

Joe

Joe Roan - Bass: Joe started singing barbershop 5 years ago. This is Joe's third working quartet, but Joe says he still feels like a rookie. As a singer, Joe may be a newbie, but he attended New England Conservatory of Music, playing tuba & trombone, so his background helps, when it comes to music theory and music notation. Joe is currently attending St. Pete College, to obtain a Tech Management B.S.
